關於 聚氯乙烯(Polyvinylchloride, PVC)
PVC在製成各種成品前，需依據產品所需要的柔軟度，而添加不同含量的塑化劑。一般而言，半硬質PVC需添加10-30％的塑化劑，軟質PVC則需添加30 -70％的塑化劑。PVC塑化劑的種類很多，但其中最多的一類，是稱為 鄰苯二甲酸酯（鄰苯二甲酸）的一類化學物質，而這類化學物質中，又以“鄰苯二甲酸二乙基己基酯”（DEHP）的使用量最大。而它對身體的危害就不再贅述。
歐盟2005/84/EC規範列出了六種 鄰苯二甲酸酯類物質：(為了不混淆各位的視線以下採用簡稱)DEHP、DBP、BBP、DINP、DIDP、DnOP 進行限制：玩具或兒童護理用品的塑膠所含的3類(DEHP、DBP及BBP)，濃度不得超過0.1%，否則不得在歐盟市場出售；兒童可放進口中的玩具及兒童護理用品，其塑膠所含的3類(DINP、DIDP及DnOP)，濃度不得超過0.1%，否則不得在歐盟市場出售；每種單獨不超過0.1%。(以上限制僅供參考，請依現行法令為準)
現階段 本公司產品 沂可木、鋁新木系列產品 經過 SGS檢測八項塑化劑檢測皆為”未檢出”，我們將食品容器等級的規範要求在建築材料上。

About Polyvinylchloride (PVC)
When discussing about the toxicity of PVC, we need to illustrate two key explanations for quick understand on the matter.
When using PVC to manufacture various products, base on the flexibility requirement, different levels of plasticizer are added. In general, semi-rigid PVC is added with 10-30% of plasticizer while flexible PVC needs to add 30-70% of plasticizer. There are many types of PVC plasticizers and many are belong to a class of chemical called phthalates with DEHP type being more widely used. Then the harm they do to the body will not be overstated.
EU 2005/84/EC specified 6 types of phthalates : (In order not to cause confusion, we will use the names of chemical in short) DEHP, DBP, BBp, DINP, DIDP & DnOP with restriction :Toys and childcare articles made from plastics that contained the three types of phthalates, DEHP, DBP and BBP, if the concentration exceed 0.1%, shall not be allowed to sell in the EU market. Toys that children could place into mouth and childcare articles made from plastics that contained the three types of phthalates, DINP, DIDP & DnOP, if concentration exceed 0.1% or individual chemical concentration exceed 0.1%, shall not be allowed to sell in the EU market. (The above are limited for reference only, in accordance with the local law and legal requirement shall prevail)
At this stage, the products from our company; E-Core Wood and AluCoWood product series are tested in accordance to SGS Testing for 8 types of Plasticizers with results indicated as "not detected". We have included Food Safety Regulation Specification onto our building materials.
The formation of most dioxin is mostly due to “objects generated by incomplete combustion”. Dioxin is not only found in fumes from burning of garbage, they are presented in many types of materials, include exhaust emissions from vehicles, cigarette smoke…. As long as the objects are not complete in combustion, “dioxin” may be produced. Accordance to research experiments by foreign institution show that the amount of PVC contents in general garbage and the formation of dioxin has no relevance. Substances that do not contain PVC, through combustion will also have dioxin formation. In other words, PVC is by no means the main source of the development of dioxin; the formation of dioxin has nothing to do with the presence or absence of PVC.
